2018 closing comment: Daria Kasatkina ended the 2018 season at a career high ranking of 10. Kasatkina’s season ended on a high when she won the Kremlin Cup in Moscow before getting the opportunity to travel to Singapore and Zhuhai. Kasatkina claimed some big victories in 2018, especially in her run to the Indian Wells final where she beat Sloane Stephens, Caroline Wozniacki, Angelique Kerber and Venus Williams. There is no doubt that Kasatkina is very talented but there are still some big holes in her game, most notably her serve which is one of the worst on tour.
