2018 closing comment: Ash Barty ends 2018 at a career high ranking of 15 after winning the biggest title of her career in Zhuhai in the final week of the season. 2018 wasn’t necessarily a great season for Barty and she continues to achieve average results at Grand Slam events, however there is no denying her talent and ability to get the job done against opponent ranked below and around her.
